We’re a growing global fashion company from Sweden, driven by a higher purpose: to drive meaningful change for women. Our commitment to women, sustainability, and customers guides everything we do as we build a brand-driven, sustainable company with a digital-first mindset. At Lindex, we’re all about doing things together – collaborating, sharing ideas, and supporting one another. Because together, we achieve more than we ever could alone.

Lindex is strengthening its organisation to bring commercial, product, brand, and digital capabilities closer together. As part of this transformation, several key roles are being recruited to the business. This position is part of that broader initiative and will play an important role in the company’s continued growth and development.

The opportunity

This is a broad business and channel leadership role with influence over the future of Lindex’s digital commerce. You build an empowered Business Team and balance current sales and delivery with continued development of customer experience, omnichannel growth, operating model and digital capabilities.

You play a key part in shaping a more customer- and market-led international retail business and helping accelerate Lindex’s future growth journey.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced e-commerce leader to accelerate profitable digital and omnichannel growth.

As Business Team Director E-com, you own the digital sales channel and its P&L, spanning site, app, digital trading and merchandising, customer experience, fulfilment, returns and customer service. You connect commercial performance with digital product, technology, data and AI-enabled development to strengthen both today’s business and the next generation of commerce capabilities.

You lead an empowered Business Team together with a Digital Co-Lead, combining business ownership, digital development and continuous improvement. The team is accountable for running, optimising and developing its area, balancing short-term performance with long-term growth and capability development.

The Business Team is supported by Business & Process Developers, analytics capabilities and other functional expertise. The role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and is part of the Commercial Management team.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and develop the e-commerce channel, with responsibility for P&L, profitable growth, customer value and commercial performance.
  • Develop and scale digital customer journeys across discovery, purchase, fulfilment, returns and customer service.
  • Drive digital trading, merchandising, conversion, personalisation, customer acquisition, loyalty and retention.
  • Lead omnichannel business development and integrate physical and digital customer experiences.
  • Translate customer, market and behavioural insights into measurable growth opportunities and business results.
  • Drive operational excellence within fulfilment, e-commerce operations and customer service.
  • Prioritise the e-commerce roadmap together with digital product, technology, data and operational leaders.
  • Evaluate and develop next-generation commerce capabilities, including AI-enabled customer experiences and new digital business opportunities.
  • Translate Lindex strategy into a clear business plan, priorities, resource allocation and measurable results.
  • Lead the Business Team through the Run, Optimise and Develop agenda together with the Digital Co-Lead and supporting functions.
  • Connect commercial priorities with digital development, ensuring that investments and roadmaps create clear customer and business value.
  • Lead direct reports and functional specialists across reporting lines, developing leaders, capabilities and succession readiness.
  • Follow up performance, identify deviations and reprioritise when market conditions or business needs change.

About you

You are a commercially grounded e-commerce leader who understands how trading, customer experience, operations, technology and data combine to create profitable growth. You can balance immediate channel performance with long-term capability development and align business, technology and operational priorities in a complex matrix.

To succeed in the role, you need:

  • Extensive senior leadership experience within e-commerce, digital commerce, omnichannel retail or another customer-facing digital business.
  • Proven results in profitable digital growth, customer value and commercial performance.
  • Experience leading digital transformation, omnichannel growth and next-generation commerce capabilities in an international retail or consumer business.
  • Strong experience developing and scaling digital customer journeys, conversion, personalisation and retention initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of digital business models, acquisition, loyalty, conversion optimisation and customer lifetime value.
  • Experience integrating physical and digital customer experiences and leading omnichannel business development.
  • Strong commercial and analytical capability, including P&L responsibility and translating customer and behavioural insight into measurable results.
  • Experience working closely with digital product, technology, data and AI-enabled business development.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in complex matrix organisations and aligning business, technology and operations.
  • Fluent English and experience from an international environment.
  • Experience in fashion retail, international e-commerce, digital discovery, fulfilment, customer-service transformation or emerging commerce models is advantageous.
